operation wisdom tooth

nine pm yesterday i was at the dental waiting for my surgery to be done. the context was that i was about to take two of my wisdom teeths, both on the right side of my jaw(one on top, the other at the bottom). my top wisdom tooth was giving me problem during my preparation of my last exams so I went to visit the dentist on saturday and surprise was my bottom wisdom tooth was already there and if i don't get it out (even if it's not giving me problem) it'll caused decay and the possiblity of damaging root canal is high which will cost alot more to repair damaged root canal.

I couldn't take them out on saturday either since i have competition the next day..

so there i was, 9pm, sitting there all by myself among all the other patients and their companions. The clinic is notorious for its long waiting time and i have no idea why. To cut the story really short, my turn only came by at 11-ish when my appointment was 9pm.

the dentist started by taking x-rays of my bottom wisdom tooth (hidden) such that he'll be able to identify the exact position of my tooth. After that, he begun to inject the anesthetic into my gum - 6 injections and 3 each. I think that was the hardest part of the whole thing. the operation started officially at 11.23pm with him marking the location of my tooth and i don't know what happened because the next thing i heard him saying was that he was going to saw some of my bones off.

not the nicest thing to hear.

then all i felt was pressure after pressure and i can feel it when he eventually took it out. he said that people usually have 3 roots on their wisdom tooth, mine had four and one of broken in the process so he had to like dig it out. since my eyes were covered and all, i could only imagine blood spilling out all the time. must have been very bloody. haha.

Next was my top one - normal extraction like those you do for putting braces and tada! by 11.37 pm and a mere 14 mintues, the whole procedure was done.

i kept my wisdom teeth and i saw the 4 roots.

i went home, face numbed but it was swelling and a whole lot of medicine.

as of now, the anesthetic has gone but it is not pain just have VERY difficulty to bite.


and guess wat, i stayed home today and i finished all available 20 episodes of UGLY BETTY. (yesh frm 10 - 20)

i have catched up with alice! muahaha.
